And Hell Didn't Even Need To Freeze Over

Well I can’t believe it, Brooke and I actually got our engagement pictures back from Edward Fox Photography. Only about 17 weeks after we purchased them. Considering we should have had them 3 to 4 weeks after that I consider it a miracle that we even got them.

Originally I thought they said we’d have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get them. But looking over the slip we were given it says 3 to 4 weeks. So 17 weeks later…. yeah.

Anyway two nice things happened because of that. First, we managed to get them before Brooke’s bridal shower. Second, since they had to rush the order for us they actually ordered from two different labs and both sets were there when we went to pick up the print. Which meant we got two sets of the pictures for the price of one. To me that still doesn’t really make up for the long wait. And it doesn’t leave me with a boat-load of confidence in them.

I will say one thing though. Our photographer for the engagement pictures did a really, really nice job. I’m actually sitting here looking at one of the black and white prints we ordered and I love the picture. Which is a huge thing since 99% of the time if there’s a picture with me in it, I’d rather not look at it. Of course it may help that my head is turned.

A word of caution to currently engaged couples. Stay on top of your photographers to make sure you’re not waiting for 17 weeks for prints. Brooke and I managed to get caught up in other aspects of the wedding planning and didn’t do this. So let our story serve as a warning.
