The honeymoon was a blast! So until I get a chance to post about that enjoy some of our honeymoon pictures by going to my honeymoon picture set on flickr.
My Passport Is Here

I forgot to post the other day that Brooke and I went for our passports. I believe we headed to the Waukesha Post Office on Saturday December 1st but I could be wrong. We had all the forms filled out, birth certificates in hand and we just needed our pictures taken.
The pictures were taken at the Post Office – which ran roughly $15 (each). I later found out that Walgreens does them for like $8. Oh well.
Anyway I was up first to get my picture taken, it was taken without and problems and didn’t turn out too bad. Brooke on the other hand had to have her picture taken over like 3 times. Not sure what the issue was but they finally got it.
We paid the fee – actually Brooke paid and I still need to pay her back. I checked on the website and they said they take Debit Cards… turns out they don’t. You can use it to purchase a money order (which in turn costs you like $1). Anyway everything was set and then we just had to play the waiting game.
Today I checked my mail and was surprised to find my passport all set and ready to go. I kept hearing stories about how you should apply months in advances (like 6 months) and how it takes forever. Seems like that’s not true. I may have just been lucky so if you need a passport, it’s probably best not to wait (just to be safe).
It’s funny, well to me anyway, but having my very first passport makes me feel kind of grown up (said the soon to be 30 year old man). Maybe it’s because since my driver’s license I haven’t received any “important government document” with my picture on it.
Anyway, the passport’s here, now we just have to wait for the wedding and finally the honeymoon!
Aruba? Jamica? Bermuda? Bahama?

The one thing that’s been set in stone before I even met Dan, was that I wanted to go somewhere for our honeymoon. I want warm weather, white sand, blue water, fruity drinks and plenty of sun! I saw a flyer for a Sandals night at a local travel agency. I thought it would be fun to go and hear more about Sandals. It turned out to be myself and Dan along with 2 other couples. The representative from Sandals was there and he had a slideshow along with a lot of information about the different Sandals resorts. It was a little overwhelming since all the pictures were gorgeous and all the resorts sounded wonderful. We needed to know more about pricing, so after the presentation, we sat down with one of the travel agents and talked money. We really liked the Sandals WhitehouseResort, so we looked more into that. It wasn’t cheap, but I really wanted to go somewhere and the Sandals Whitehouse looked perfect. We took home the information and slept on it.
As it turns out, we booked our honeymoon to the Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica for 7 nights. I’m super excited about the honeymoon…now we just have to get to the wedding!
