Caterer - An Email
Posted by: Dan on Dec 02, 2007
Back on September 17th Brooke and I went to pay the caterer. We got a receipt for that – but it wasn’t from the guy we originally talked with. Still that’s fine, payment was made, we were set.
Later Brooke was wondering where the contract was so she called the caterer (around the end of October) who said he’d be sending out the contract. We still have not received it. We’re also suppose to have an appointment with the linen company that this caterer deals with. We were told he would set it up. There’s been no word on that either.
Tonight I dropped the guy an email to find out what’s going on and when things are going to happen. Hopefully this isn’t a sign of things to come with this caterer.
I know we’re still months away from the wedding but things will start to pick up and we’ll be tackling all the “little things” soon. Which means time will be precious and we won’t have a lot of time to be making trips that could have been done now.
Caterer Payment #1

Tonight Brooke and I headed out to hand over the down payment to the caterer. I meet her after work at her school and we headed out to Kewaskum – “The Gateway to the Kettle Moraine”.
We hit Woody’s Steak House and before heading in we took pictures of us outside the place holding the check. Yeah we’re geeks. Actually we’re doing pictures like this now so we can put them in an album to memories.
After we paid Brooke had a great idea of taking another picture of her with the receipt in hand and her jean pockets turned inside out. I told here we’d get the shot with the dumpsters in the background. Yup it’s the po’ Brooke with empty pockets by the dumpster shot. Reflects all the money getting shelled out for all the down payments.
But that’s one more thing we can cross off the list.

Yummy...food!

Tonight we were out a Woody’s Steakhouse to sample some food. We met with Sean who seemed like he knew what he was doing. We sampled some chicken cordon bleu and some steak. They were both delicious! After getting some questions answered, we left Woody’s and drove home. During the drive, we decided we would probably go with Woody’s as our caterer. We like Sean and we like the food, so let’s do it!!
